The Cold Spring Library is like taking a step back into the past, when life was a lot simpler and less complicated. The library is a warm and friendly inviting place where reading is not only, encouraged but celebrated. I can order my books online from the St Cloud regional library and pick them up here which is a huge bonus for me. Happy reading!

I visited the Cold Spring area and needed a place to do some remote work. The space was comfortable and welcoming, and the library staff happily helped me connect to the Wifi and didn't flinch at my 3 hour work session.
A small town library with Wifi is not reason enough to write a 5-star review here on Google. What IS worth it is the conversation I tuned into among the staff while doing my hours of remote work, and the personalized service the team provided to the patrons who visited. Cold Spring is lucky to have such a dedicated team at their library!
There were three people who seemed to be working during my visit. On this particular day, one employee was pulling names of kids who participated in the summer reading program and won prizes. As an educator, my heart was happy hearing them talk so positively about each kiddo, and knowing so many of them by name! The would seemingly celebrate each kiddo who won, and say things like, "Oh I love _____! I'm glad she won She'll be so excited!" It was very heartwarming and encouraging to know that the team is comprised of positive, kid-loving humans.
Core memories from the visit: hearing them welcome a senior gentleman by first and last name and say they were happy to see him, and hearing one of them say, "Oh, we have to keep that kid in the books!"
