Rosa M Tarbutton Memorial Library

I’ve really enjoyed seeing the changes at Rosa Tarbutton Memorial Library. The librarians have clearly put a lot of time and care into making the library a welcoming, useful place for the community.

They’re always helpful and genuinely seem to care about finding what you’re looking for. I especially appreciate that they diligently call as soon as my holds arrive, and I’ve gotten some great book recommendations from them.

I also really enjoy seeing all of the kids’ programs they offer. I don’t have kids myself, but the programs look like a lot of fun, and it’s nice to see the library providing so many opportunities for local families.

The library feels like it has really grown and improved recently, and I think that’s a reflection of how much effort the librarians put into what they do. I’m grateful to have such a helpful and welcoming library in the community.

I don't remember ever having a bad experience at this location and today was a particularly good visit. The staff was helpful, friendly, and eager to please. The place is clean, well organized, spacious, and beautiful. They have a huge selection if books, a decent selection of DVDs and audiobooks, and a growing selection of graphic novels. They told me they are willing to order or request any book they don't currently have.

My only complaints is that they are too far away from where I live and their lighting is a bit dim for my eyes...

Great staff and atmosphere. Very helpful and knowledgeable about how to help customers

Update: It has been awhile since my last visit. There is a new sheriff in town. Ms. Trina Norwood, a good friend and a great librian is now the librian in Sandersville. Trina, many thanks for your help on Sat. 11/18/25.

My hometown library, beautiful building with many computer workstations, conference rooms you can rent, books, books and more books and most importantly...a great and helpful staff.

This is a beautiful library. It's got a huge selection of books and if they don't have a specific book in Sandersville, they can order it from another library. They have DVD'S and Audio Books too.
